Immune boosting Chimichurri Sauce

One of the best natural defenses during the cold and flu season is garlic. While most of us sauté it in our sauces and other dishes, the fact is, most of its medicinal benefits come from its raw form. It’s hard to imagine anyone taking a bite out of a raw garlic clove (YUCK!!!), but if you blend it with other medicinal herbs you can make a flavorful sauce that’s not only tasty, but is great for your immune system. Garlic also helps to expel phlegm from the lungs, and it’s good for your heart, blood pressure, cholesterol and can help fight cancer.

Chimichurri recipe…
1 cup fresh parsley packed
1 cup fresh cilantro packed
½ cup fresh oregano or 2 tbs dried
3 green onions roughly chopped
6 large cloves garlic
1 large stalk celery chopped
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 ½ -3 tsp red pepper flakes (depending on you likeness for spice)
1 tsp sea salt or equivalent no salt substitute
Put it all in a blender and blend until you have a smooth green sauce. Use on meats, fish veggies, or pasta, or whatever you want….Enjoy!!!
